Tuesday’s evening class is gentle yoga, suitable for the very beginner to a more experienced practitioner who is need of restoration and rejuvenation. A wonderful way to gain insights as to what yoga asana’s(postures) encourage a restful nights slumber, a calm mind and a still body.
Friday’s morning class is a general class suitable for all levels. Due to Melissa having many years of teaching experience all levels are catered for, with variations offered on each asana(posture). Building strength and flexibility, steadily and smoothly.
Friday’s Mindfulness Meditation class is a weekly drop in class. It is a guided practice, focusing on Posture, Breath Awareness, Relaxation, and Mindfulness leading into Stillness, at times also exploring Imagery and Contemplation. This is a wonderful way to have the support of a group setting; a short discussion is encouraged at the end of each session; time for insights and questions to encourage one on their path.
This class is suitable for the inexperienced to the experienced.
Friday’s chair yoga class is a gentle practice taught sitting on a chair. Suitable for the elderly, for those that are recovering from injury or illness, or for someone that does a lot of work at the computer, sitting etc. Students are often surprised at how many postures can be done on a chair. The class is completed with the practice of yoga Nidra (wakeful sleep).
